Hey Tobi,
I love Field. Not only is it beautiful but my Dad grew up there! Believe it or not it was bustling in the 1950's and 60's as lots of trains stopped with passengers and there was a large wooden hotel... which burned down.
My parents met in Field as my Mom moved there in her last year of school.
I'm glad you guys took the time to stop there. Check out the "Natural Bridge" across the HWY as well, it's something else.
