Family Vacation

Stew and I and the kids went down to Portland to see some family. We had a 12 hr car trip on the way down which made for a long day! The trip was super fast but worth it to see Jerry and Lousie, William and Heather and Jon, Elisabeth, Jonah and Ava. We kept busy going to a water park, eating pizza, shopping at Target, seeing the Zoo and just visiting.
This was the first time Jake had been away from home to sleep since we moved him out of his crib so this is what he said the first night...
Jake: " I want to go home please daddy, please!"
Stew reassured him and got him into his bed, which he called his special bed of moonbeams. Heather had put some fun colorful bedding on for him and he really liked that. I went up because he was still scared and he said to me...
Jake: " I feel sick momma, i feel sick!"
Me: " Where do you feel sick Jake?"
Jake: " In my heart."
So i stayed with him until he fell asleep....the last night was perfect, he finally settled in.

Oregon Zoo

Our little family went to the zoo on Sunday morning and had a awesome time! Jake jsut loved it and was in awe of the animals, especially the elephants.

The Brawley's

Louise and Jerry hasd us all over for a dinner one of the nights. We had a good chance to catch up with Jon, Elisabeth, Jonah and Ava.

We're Home

After a smooth 9 1/2 hr trip we are back from Portland. We had a great time with our family and super accomodations at the Roper house (Thanks again). Though all went smooth in the car the kids got a bit antsy so by the end i was giving Isaiah anything to stop the whining!
