Boys

How is that kids know the exact button or thing to push? Jacob makes himself burp after almost each drink he takes than laughs and with a big smile says "skue me". It erks me. Now after Jacob does his whole bit Isaiah pretends to burp than says "me" laughs and says "I'n funny!". Every time I have to give the mom look and say it isn't funny......I am wondering how this isn't funny though! They are such hams.....what to do? Pick my battles I guess.

The Ride Home...the Long Ride

We left for Swift Current Sask on Thurs morning about 11am. We spent the night with some good friends in Calgary than packed up on Fri morning for our final destination. We spent Friday afternoon, Saturday in Sask. After the reception we left at 8pm on Sat and drove back to Calgary getting in at 12:45am. Got up Sunday morning had a coffee with some of our other great friends in Calgary and drove home today, Sunday. Whirlwind!!!! In total we sat in the car for 22 ish hours! The kids were so good and it was worth it!

Field, BC - So Beautiful

On our way home today we stopped in Field and let the kids play. The scenery in the Rocky Mountains is so breath taking.

The Teddy Hotel

Jacob was thrilled to go to the Teddy Hotel again. It is a Travel Lodge and their mascot is a Sleepy Teddy Bear. My family so graciously...gave us the room plastered with this bear and Jacob loved it! :)

Swift Current Sask.

We went to park that I played at all the time as a little girl. I enjoy taking my kids to the places I went to when I was growing up, Saskatchewan was a special place for me. This trip was a bit reflective for me.

Life at 80.....

Stew and I took the kids to Saskatchewan this weekend for a wedding. It is our only summer wedding this year and it was for my Grandpa Klassen. My Grandma Klassen passed away 11 years. So this was a great occasion to see him so happy and in love again. All of my mom's family was there so it was a bit of a reunion as well. It always turns out to be a whirlwind trip! There were so many people there to support them that people were lined up the staird of the church basement. My mom asked Jake is he would like to sing at the reception ( my Grandpa loves to hear people sing and play instruments) and he said sure and when asked what song he wanted to sing he chose 'O Canada' and ' Jesus Loves Me'. We were not sure if he would get nervous and not want to go last minute so the expectations were not high. However when the time came the MC said Jacob's turn was up and called for him he said " Okay!! Here I am!" My little boy made him was up to the mic with no help or hesitation (and remember there are 100 people crammed in a basement) my 9 yr old cousin Joel followed him up for support and Jake took the mic. He looked at the crowd and said " This is the song they sing at the hockey game." And proceeded to sing the whole song without waiver right into the mic. I just about cried!
