Happy Birthday Isaiah
Isaiah turned 1 on Oct 23rd and in honor of him we threw him a bash! There were 5 families with 2-3 kids all averaging 0-3 in age and all our families! It was crazy to say the least. All the kids were good though no major fights or tiffs. We had a hot dog dinner and i had a monkey theme for the night. He is quite the monkey so i thought it was fitting. The cake was easy to make but cute (i thought so anyway), i was so proud it didn't slide apart like Jake's 1st bday cake. My bro Jeff placed the candle so eloquently!! Thanks to everyone who came!

When we went camping to Beaver Lake Stew let Jacob help get the kindling to start the fires and told him he was helping. Now you would think i have a dog because of the big pile of sticks on my back patio, Jake collects them to make a fire. He calls them 'kingling' and gets so excited to pretend to make a fire.
The Jake Update
There is no way around it, Jacob loves hockey!! Saturday morning is hockey time with Stew. During the game at some point Jacob stops and requests that they sing the 'hockey song', which is O Canada. Jake's version " O Canada, God keep our land, wit glorious we stand on guard for dee....(a little humming when he forgets the words)". We told Jacob last winter that when the snow came back he would get some skates, well he has not forgotten. He keeps on reminding us that he wants skates when the snow comes. So stew bought some for Chirstmas and left the box on the counter thinking he would still have no clue what it was. Jacob walked right up to the box and pointed at it saying "What are dose daddy?" Stew said "A present for later." Jaocb looked at him and said" It is for hockey daddy." He knew from the CCM symbol on the side of the box. These little ones are so stinkin' smart!

Girls Weekend Away
A great friend of mine Jenn and I went To Vancouver to shop til' we drop!! We stayed with another good friend, Andrea and had a awesome time. Of course the trip had to have some adventure to it, we got a flat tire on our way down forcing us to turn back. My dad lent us his truck (new, might i add). So instead of leaving at 4 and getting in around 8, we got back to Kelowna around 8 and left at 9 arriving at 1AM ! Oh well. the fellowship was so good and i briefly remember being a single girl again, dinner past 5 and no diapers or wipes in my purse! Thanks to the husbands for watching the kiddies!
