Boys

Jacob found a frog, he and Stew looked at it and than Stew left him alone with it. Jacob came up to Stew and said " I squeezed the frog until poop came out!". We both thought that he had killed it, later that night he told Aunty Erin that it hopped away. I have to admit a sigh of relief came over me. What have i gotten myself into, I don't understand boys!!! :)

Brothers

The neighbor boy popped his head through the shrubs and asked Jake if he wanted to play. He is 5 and Jacob was thrilled to go and meet a new friend. But this meant that Isaiah would be left to play with me. Isaiah stood staring at the shrubs saying "Whare's ma Jakie?" "Whare's ma Jakie?" Than he would call for him over and over "Jakie!". He eventually laid on the grass and cried. No matter what i did to distract him he kept going over to the shrubs calling for "ma Jakie". This was the first time Jake had a friend and left Isaiah behind. It was almost heart breaking.

Grad '07

My cousin Courtney is graduating this year from a local high school. So we went to see her and her pretty gown.

The Boys

Faith like a Child....

We were driving home the other day and listening to some Praise and Worship music and one of the songs had in the background at on point some talking (music was still playing it was just a effect that they put in) anyway,
Jacob said to me " That is God talking mommy!"
Me not knowing what exactly to say said"Oh really?!"
Jacob "Mommy where is God?"
I sat quiet for a moment with my mind reeling " Well, He is in Heaven...in the sky".
Jacob "In the sky?" Kinda trying to take it and make sense of it
I am sure Jake was thinking "if He is in the sky than why can I hear Him whispering in my car?"
After the hesitation in his voice I added "And God lives in your heart."
Jacob " Yeah, in my heart!!"
Faith like a child is so refreshing and challenges me to keep my thoughts simple and accept the small answers from God when He speaks to me.

She may want to get me for this but... I love her and this picture!! She was in Mexico back in March and this pic was taken there. Family is so precious and a true gift, to have people that we love and call friends that can never leave and move on in life, even if they wanted to.... they can't :o)

Shopping in the USA

I went away last weekend with some dear family and a great friend. My mom, Dawn, Erin, Jenn and I drove down to Burlington, WA to shop the outlet mall and the surrounding malls. Everyone found what they were looking for and more. My mom found the deals at Restoration Hardware and ended up bringing back two bed frames and the rest of us found clothes for ourselves and our kids. We found a awesome hotel practically new with a continental breakfast and across the street was the Olive Garden ( I had always wanted to try one). It was just fun and relaxing to be with the girls, since i am surrounded by boys all the time.
